CMK, what will happen next?

CMK, what will happen next?

I'm afraid none of us here can answer this question. Although sometimes informative, negative and positive, all of these posts are based on speculation and personal opinion. I have yet to read anything supplying concrete evidence that anyone here knows what Cline, Bates or Marrett are doing or thinking right now or in the future. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with personal opinion just don't bet the farm on it. I for one have no intentions of selling my shares. Not because I am some nut who thinks the hand of god will swoop down and save us, just simply I have lost enough now that a few thousand more isn't going to matter. I can't control it so why sweat the little stuff. It will either bounce back or fail. That being said here is something to ponder on. When a bank reposseses a house it is not because they want to be in the real estate or property mgmt business in fact that is the last thing they want; they simply want there money back. They carefully look at the clients situation and make a business(not personal, or loyalty) decision as to whether or not this person will be able to fulfill there end of the contract. If they decide no they take the house and attempt a quick sale. Not for profit, nor what the house is worth, simply enough to recoup there money and walk away. On a much larger scale Merrett could have done this with CMK. If they let them go under they would have recovered there money through company assets and chatels and could have walked away. Remember, Merrett has no loyalty or personal interest in CMK or it's common shareholdes; they invested so they could make money, nothing more. So you have to ask yourself why they assessed Clines current situation and there opinion of the future situation and made the BUSINESS decision (MAKING MONEY) to continue to carry them, and I'm fairly certain it is not because they have had a long life dream of being coal miners. My guess, and just a guess, is they still believe there is lots of money to be made here and it is in there best interest to stick it out.
