The biggest remaining hurdle?

Many hurdles have yet to be jumped by CMK and there has been considerable discussion lately about most of them.

But I am surprised that not much has been discussed about what I believe is the MOST critical hurdle of them all.

And that is obtaining a successful outcome to the pending trial coal shipments and testing by potential customers.

If these tests/trials do NOT satisfy the needs of potential steel making customers then the CMK business strategy will quickly go out the window and share price would collapse totally.

It is ONLY after successful tests/trials by customers that finally some actual contracts and pricing can be setup - and this is what everyone here has been waiting for since this is the only way share price can make much headway.

Excellent point.  But I am optimistic because the coal has been used before for steel making and although it is high ash the other parameters seem to be in line and it has always been assumed that there would be a 10 to 15 per cent discount to compensate.  If indeed blending is not required that would seem to indicate that the product is acceptable.  The other important factor imho ...more

There are a number of things to be concerned about which could be cleared up [hopefully] by a comprehensive NR. One infrastucture item that still bothers me and which I don't believe has been definitely cleared up is acquisition of the total raiway right of way from mine site to nearest railhead [name of town escapes me at the moment]. Replacing rail is one thing but reacquiring railway right ...more

Not to worry.If the coal doesn't cut mustard with the steel maker trials then CMK can always sell their coal domestically as thermal coal for US powerplants.
