They could also be positioning to create a bidding war, because of the massive amount of property they own. They are basically playing mind games with the bigger companies. If you were one of the big boys and one of the other big boys was going to buy a shiny and very large new toy that was one of a kind, then wouldn't you want that toy for yourself? Owning a very large land position in Columbia with proven reserves that is diversified between oil and gas, is not something these 3 companies will want to just let slip through their fingers. In terms of time frame, I will make no assumptions. Could be months or years.
