I'm hoping for another 10% increase. They are literally printing money.

No, they are literally NOT printing money - but I agree with your sentiment!

With oil at these prices yes they are.

Some people literally have no idea what 'literally' means.

I was hoping for a 10% increase and they gave me 28% instead. I believe we will see the same thing in December when they reduce debt by $5 Billion. CNQ is a cash generating monster and yes they are literally printing money.

Would it not make more sense to make acquisitions rather than reduce debt at this time?

I'm okay with paying down debt it's the NCIB (share buy backs) I have issue with. Why would you spend 50% of your FCF on buying shares that are at 15+ or more highs? Makes sense when S/P is lower (I think), but when touching this multi decade highs, doesn't seem prudent.

Completely agree make an acquisition or make a special dividend to investors - buying back shares at this price is irresponsible.
Comment by STOCKWIZ on Mar 16, 2022 6:03pm
Less shares allow for a more sustainable dividend and growth in leaner times

Buybacks at these prices tell us management thinks the stock is undervalued - and I agree with them. It will be proven to be a smart move wheb its trading at $100.
