RE:RE:RE:THE STAND WITH SEYMOUR CAMPAIGN!!!I believe Mr Williams is stupid for offering this low price for an asset that Mr. Rick George knows is worse at least $30/share. Don't forget that CO just funded the CAPEX major projects for close to $3 Billion, i.e. SU wants to buy COS for free,by swapping some shares. Nothing has really changed for the last 10 years, except Syncrude is in a better position to align itself with no major CAPEX for the next 10 years and the price of oil is in the low cycle. However the volatile price of oil is a fact of life, eventually it will move in tendem to $60, then $70, $100 and sometime it will reach the previous high of $140, this is a fact even if we create a new source of energy that can power every item in our day to day life at that point all energy companies will be in trouble.
COS provided strong dividend over the last 10 years and much more is coming, as for the debt $2 billion is nothing, just 2 years of good oil price will cover this debt and much more. COS is NOT for Sale.
