Odds are nowSU will drop the bid.COS stated today that the $12 bid was too low.Suncor will not likely bid at near 100% to its first offer.To save face or risk of that $12 or $13 being rejected again if SU raised it a 3rd time to say $16 it would looking like thay are begging.I doubt very much now SU will raise the bid.I also conclude that COS is not talking to IMO or they would have out bid SU already to kill its bid.
The situation is fluid now and much harder to predict the outcome.
