Why would IMO or another O&G Company wait until oil prices improve before making an offer for COS....?......Do they want to pay more for COS than they can get it at now....?.....Both SU and IMO have the wherewithal to acquire COS now at supposed "Rock Bottom" prices......My sense is that IMO does not feel COS is worth more to them than what SU is currently offering, so they have taken a pass........It's hard to see a company outside the existing Syncrude joint venture coming in to buy COS and join this relatively messy situation while paying a premium for the privilege......If COS remains an independent company throughout 2016, it will be interesting to see how they do, both in terms of their quarterly results and their stock price.....
