NEB Encore

The NEB has again recommended that Trans Mtn should be built. The NEB "found that the negative effects of pipeline-related shipping such as higher emissions and risks to killer whales are “justified” because of the benefits of the project, such as finding more markets for Canadian oil and creating jobs." Now it's up to Ottawa, who is expected to go ahead.

Some more good news for the Canadian oil & gas industry. The Conservatives, of course, painted a negative picture of the decision, saying we're no closer to getting it built than before. I beg to differ.
