Funny. Gone to pot! Yes, and look how much happier the average Canadian is now. Alfed E. Newman rules (think I've really dated myself with that reference). I assume you were being humourous with your pot statement, i.e., you don't really believe the country is going to pot. The economy has hit a slow patch but the Bank of Canada forecasts a pick-up in the second half. The poverty rate under the Liberals has dropped to the lowest in history (9.5%). Median household income for 2018 was $71,011. With the rise in real estate, many Canadian home-owners are living the good life. This could and probably will end badly. The Liberals have taken some steps to help younger folks acquire a home but they can't be too generous as that would lead to even higher home prices.
Overall, Canada is doing OK. Unemployment is low in BC, Ontario, Quebec and the Praries, except Alberta. Not so much in the Maritimes. Everywhere you go in Vancouver you see "We're hiring".
The only thing I recall MBS saying wasn't his fault was the murder of Khashoggi.
