RE:RE:RE:RE:The amountGovernment matters for investor confidence. Especially in Canada. The weird politics around energy impact foreign investors confidence. Getting ride of the Liberals will lift all boats in the energy sector.

Neither one of them will have any effect on production in the energy sector and the other parties would have exactly the same effect. Alberta and Saskatchewan have Cons in place already and nothing is going to change there. The Americans and OPEC will determine where production is going to come from. The Americans have no interest in seeing Canadian crude finding an outlet for more export to the world, when they can buy Canadian crude on the cheap and sell it out of the Gulf area for a profit. Harper left the crude TransMountain Pipeline and the natural gas Pacific Trail Pipeline for Justin to build after he was in control for 9 years. What difference would it make as to which Federal party is in place to complete these projects today? WHEN the TransMountain is finally completed we should eventually see production rising as we'll finally have an opportunity to export more crude to the world rather than depend on the American, and I can't blame the Americans for making an extra buck in any way they can. Canadian political affiliation doesn't enter into this process for me.
