RE:RE:Am I missing something today?I think there are a couple of issues at play here. First, the US market has repeatedly over the past few months, let the WTI run into the 80's and then drives it back down into the high 60's taking all the oils with it, so there may be a certain number that are capitalizing on this pattern. The second issue at play are the shorts who have watched this play out a number of times and now are shorting everything hoping that the pattern will repeat. (which, sadly, it probably will - the self fulfilling phrophesy and all that). Meanwhile the longs (ie those that "invest" rather that manipulate" get hammered as most of us are in at higher levels than where we are at the moment.
So, in a nut shell, the shorts are making a killing.
Just once I would like to see the price of oil keep rising.......
