" This is the age of gas"  $BKR CEO.

"mounting consensus that there is no possible route to decarbonize the energy system without driving greater efficiency and significantly increasing gases weighting within the overall energy mix"

------------- from Dan Tsubouchi on twtr

Now if someone can figure out how to significantly reduce the carbon - much easier than the other fuels per Thundersaid Energy.

"...the post-combustion CCS has an energy penalty of just 10-20% [15%]for gas turbines, versus c40% in our base case for solid fuels such as coal and biomass. Why is this?
(1) The CO2 to capture and compress is 50% lower per kWh of combustion energy released from gas versus coal/biomass. This is because 50% of the energy in CH4 is from hydrogen.
(2) Clean-burning? It is simply easier to burn gas. You do not have to pulverize it, dry it, pre-heat it or remove SOx and dusts from the exhaust…

..and NG STILL priced at an 85% discount relative to Oil on a BTU basis.  Too bad no one can figure out how use this stuff in transportation.  ;)
How long can this differential last?
