good on you.  I think you will be fine.  Strong buying coming in.  nat gas holding up well. If Crew does in fact get a premium for its production, they are in the north of $3 range....

I sold my position today, don't like the trend and kicking myself for not selling around $1.15 mark. Will re-evaluate after the earnings to see if there is any plan for the debt. Everyone is betting on good numbers but analysts as well will price in the spike in prices. The street might not like the fact that the debt went up as everyone is looking how to reduce it. Not regretting, was a good ...more

i agree with you monkey, earnings are usually priced in long before release. There will be plenty of time after earnings release to jump on if all is well.We may at least drop to low .80 according to charts.

The problem for analysts who are evaluating this ticker is that for whatever reason, Crew has not been up front about their drilling plans, their completion plans and their production rates. Q1 and Q2 2021 results could hold some surprises.
Comment by Wynjoe on Apr 22, 2021 4:20pm
there may be some surprise beat the odds, but they wont be positive.Insiders have been selling and "they know",at least to a great degree.Cost overuns and under producing will be the realistic scenario the way s/p is tanking,Somebody somewhere know, and its always noticable in different ways.I think a huge negative surprise is forthcoming!!!I hope i am wrong.
Comment by BeatTheOddsSqua on Apr 22, 2021 4:39pm
You're joking, correct?"Cost overuns and under producing?" Where did you get that info? Have you not looked at the flow rates on the new wells? Did you see Cheadle's post on record drill times and the release showing how Crew came in way below budget on the 9-5 Pad? Go read the DD that Gonatgo, Cheadle and myself have complied since July of last year. Crew was giving guidance ...more

LOVE IT BEATTHEODDSQUA! Wasnt Crew one of the top companies with insider buys for energy in 2020......they sell 10,000's of thousands of shares, representing less than 1%... am i missing something?
Comment by Cheadle12 on Apr 22, 2021 7:27pm
Let's be specific. Insider buys were almost exclusively from Dale (CEO), John Brussa (Board) and possibly Ryan Shay (board/director) and Jamie Taylor (great guy) also stepped up to buy some. The other Insiders, VP's, EVP's at Crew didn't buy a single share, even when it as $.12c.

I like your post BeatTheOdds. I believe the "powers that be" are really working in concert to grab as many of our shares as possible! This is not conspiracy theories at work (my response to a previous post some time back). Happens all the time, and I'm sure learning a lot in this O & G Sector, it's a dirty playing field. Especially after Pony for example & how banks ...more

Great post Pony Boy, Outsiders was one of my daughters favorite novels. I was a little bored waiting on Q1 from Crew and others, so I was  killing time watching trading patterns.  Crew is like the old prize fighter who is down for the count ($0.16 share) and by some miracle has woobled to his feet again. I am cheering for this ticker now as they finally appear to understand their asset, ...more

the most memorable line I have heard in a long time " Ask yorself, who in their right mind would go out and drill 25+ wells with $350 million in debt? " Thank goodness I never asked myself that last Fall !!
Comment by Oldnagger on Apr 24, 2021 9:42pm
Every time I hear that someone may not be in his right mind or that there might be something going on behind the scenes ,I get curious. What is happening is that FDC is going down substantially. In 2020 the 1P FDC decreased by 95 million $ and the 2P FDC by 180 million $. This puts their land values up by an equivalent amount all other things being equal. As I have argued before , the increase in ...more

You hit the nail square on the head Old Nagger. When Crew was spending twice as much to drill a well half of the length of their current wells for half the recoveranble reserves, you were seeing 2 year +  payouts and only if they had $3 -$4 per mcf pricing. With the steep declines in the Montney they were on a treadmil trying desperately to keep up and not succeeding. Just like Lucile Ball ...more

Your comments are very interesting, you have succeeded in painting the background explanations for all the excessive debt fear in the market. Once again there is usually a rational explanation for everything. we just have to look for it !! BTW who is Lucille Ball ? , Was she  the founder of fracking in the U.S. ?
Comment by BeatTheOddsSqua on Apr 25, 2021 12:18pm
Old Nagger she was the first lady of comedy. The chocolate factory skit was an analogy of how Montney producers are under constant pressure to grow production while fighting steep declines. Lucille Ball
Comment by Oldnagger on Apr 25, 2021 2:45pm
Thought she might have been the one to invent the Ball drop system LOL
Comment by Moemoney42 on Apr 23, 2021 3:08pm
I agree fellas... yesterday's quick drop to capture the stop losses adds credibility to your thesis.. I'd say we'll see a whole new attitude to Crew once nearing or after the Q1-21 numbers and guidance for Q2 are released in early May.. ;-)
Comment by gonatgasgo on Apr 22, 2021 6:15pm
At 1:22pm today you say your buy order got filled and your stop loss is at $0.85. At 3:08pm today you say good news already priced in and there will be opportunities to buy in the low $0.80s. At 4:20pm today you say a big negative surprise is coming and insiders who have been selling know it. Should I bother to ask why you bought? If I were day trading, I would pick a name that is ...more
