RE:CAN SOME ONE PLEASE ANSWER THISThere is no law that stipulates a company must issue a press release about an earnings release.
Heavily traded stocks generally issue a release because there is broad market coverage of these stocks; but I'm not sure that it's relevant for more thinly traded companies like CRH to do the same.
If you're concerned that this is indicative of some sort of nefarious scheme by management to cover up crumby results for the quarter, might I suggest that you sell your position this afternoon, and avoid the angst of having to worry that an earnings miss might deflate the stock price.
