RE: great project
RE: great projectI think the biggest asset (besides location and past mining history) is their permitted tailings facility. That takes incredible amount of risk out of the project and should speed the permitting substantially.
My problem is finding spare cash to invest. Junior copper plays are absurdly cheap at the moment, particularly the producers and near term producers. Hard for me to invest in a play that is ~3 years away from production, no matter how nice a project and value.
Of all the late stage Cu plays, I think Copper Mtn is the most attractive based on value, existing infrastructure, location (southern BC), and political risk. Lots of plays in Chile, Mexico etc with similar tonnage, but with higher valuation and in greenfield areas.
