RE:First New Source of Copper Supply in the US

RE:First New Source of Copper Supply in the US I will take Copper Mountain over Nevada Copper and day.  Copper Mountain is currently producing huge profits and probably will be able to fund future expansion mostly through cash flow.  Nevada Copper is just starting a small underground mine, and they already have 1.8 billion shares.  That kind of bloated share count is a huge red flag.  The underground mine will probably not even be profitable, so they are pinning their hopes on an open pit mine that does not even have a completed feasibility study and will require $672 million in capex.  In addition, the company is using $3.20 copper to promote the project, which is historically a very high number.  Copper could be well below $3.20 after 5 years if and when the mine is finally operating.
