RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:BluecollarI agree about the cdn option market it sucks pretty bad relative to the US. As for selling 6 mo puts I don't like to for the simple fact I have that reserve capital allocated for too long a time(but that's Just me) I prefer to look for shorter term(20 to 60 days max). My trading account is highly margined I do it for a hobby and to hopefully someday maybe get my garage or trip to vegas haha. My RRSP is looked after by a manager I don't touch it other than some input here and there. I like the weekly options in the US sometimes as well, but they are more for trading as opposed to the cdn options which are hard to close so if I sell a put I am basically saying "self, you are either having the stock put to you or letting expire out of the money" If it was in the US I could sell a put 6 months out and maybe after 1 or 2 months there would be enough liquidity to close it of.
