Also, if you think the banks will let unsecured junior lenders get paid out BEFORE they do when there is still massive questions about the viability of the company, you got another thing coming.
Banks want to keep their revenue stream in tact, but will not risk the loaned amount if repayment is at risk.  As stated, there are several reasons to believe that the viability of CUS is still in question. 

Furthermore, if the secured loans are backed by assets that are below an assessed and assumed market value (these are proven by the value of the bids), and the likelihood of recovering funds should a loan go belly up go down, be sure, the banks will take their cake too. 

Ever consider that CUS may have to write-down the value of North Van after going through this rigourous valuation/bid process?  Believe it.  It might happen.
