Confused

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I am not good at reading financial reports.
But as a layman the report looks bad as compared to 2012.
Payout ratio is too high.
I will not fall for dividend alone.
I will wait for the "analyst/expert"  comments.
Usuallly, they are the guys who shape the market reaction.
Even if it goes above $5, yield  will be more than 10%.
I would prefer a graduated response. Some of my friends may not like my comments. I will use any counter points to dwell deep. Dividend could be safe for now but who know what will after three months!
I will study the results more deeply.

The fact that 2013 was weaker than 2012 is nothing new; all this information was available to the market when the stock was trading at $6+ prior to the firing of the CEO. The stock price will be determined on the future expected results and the future expected payout ratio. Both the results and the payout ratio will be experienced a material improvement in 6 months as NATO comes into play. The ...more

Nawar, In my opinion market is driven by sentiment. (Which is shaped by analysts comments. Starting tomorrow, the dwongrades/upgrades will start pouring in). I would like to feel the sentiment beginning tomorrow. As we are seeing on this board, market reaction is going to be uncertain, hence SP would be volatile for a few days. It may pop up tomorrow because of the dividend (It is paid quarterly ...more

Hey Sukhi19:  Analysts like TDW have already spoken.  They maintain a buy rating, 7.00 target price the reasons are improving chemical prices, strong US dollar, amazing Brazil locked in deals,  the world lowest cost manufacturing plant located in Manitoba, a train that will be booked solid within weeks, and oh ya cost overrun financed without additional debt. Pick your entry point ...more

Hey hawk 35, Thanks. I am with the longs. I sold this at $7 beacuse I was not comfortable and my gut feeling was proved right. I still like this very much ( that is why I am active on this borad regarding CUS) and feel that this is a long term investment; and I won't mind it buying it at a higher price. But I would like to feel the waters for a week or so and then enter between $6 to $7 ...more

I don’t see major revisions by the analyst community; the only likely revision is a slight downward adjustment to EBITDA in 2014 to reflect the 60 to 90 days phase two shut down; however such revision won’t be material enough to cause a downgrade. Most importantly with current management affirming the likelihood of them being fully contracted in the near future, this will enhance the market ...more

The pay out ratio is high but there is significant income on the way to help out with that. Also I got in before the release because I had a felling that the President steping down before it happened was a good sign. I feel If they had to cut the Dividend or could not support it He would have been the one to deliver the last of the bad news before stepping down. Look back in a year from now and I ...more
