Canexus mentioned on BNN April 4 Market Call

What some in the analyst community are thinking. Canexus Corp CUS-T Genevieve Roch-Decter (A Top Pick May 23/13. Down 43.1%.) Sold her holdings at around $6. This was a chemical company, paying out a high dividend and paying out most of their cash flow. They wanted to get into the “crude by rail” business and had to raise quite a bit of capital to do it. Had some cost overruns and part of their chemical business weakened. Management did a horrible job of communicating with the marketplace.

....here`s the more interesting part.....here is what she was saying back on May 23 - 2013 (A Top Pick May 23/13. Down 14.17%.) Their chemical division has been under some pressure but management thinks this is in a trough. That division generates about $100-$130 million in EBITDA. "here`s the more interesting part.....here is what she was saying back on May 23 - 2013.......Worth about $10-$11." Last bought deal $5.60. So let us say most recent valuation is $5.60 by market valuation by generally sharp participants at least. I say short term target is 19% plus 10% divs, thats almost 30%. I happen to also agree with Nawars calculations. He does his due diligence based on my expereience with him on LNV. Good luck fellas. I am in at 4.70 for 5000 shares full disclosure

secondary offering would have been offered at a discount to market value - so if bought deal was $5.6 - likely FMV was caculated closer to $5.9 to $6 per share - backing up my and Nawars calcs.

you've just made my point JFF....why not say "revised target is around $8.50 to $9.35" given new market events......versus - giving the thumbs down at a price of $4.85...I mean - the idea is to buy low - sell high right?  And if the new VALUE (not price)  is say $8.5 or even $6 for that matter - wouldn't an analyst worth thier salt say - "At these prices - you have ...more
