- it is a GOOD IDEA but it will NOT HAPPEN IN PRACTICE

- IF CVE decides to SELL, ONLY the Chinese STATE PETROLEUM companies will be PERMITTED TO BUY the assets

- SINCE there will be NO COMPETING OFFERS, the PRICE RECEIVED will be AT A DISCOUNT relative to an OPEN BIDDING PROCESS

- Cenovus Energy makes GOOD MARGINS on these offshore natural gas production (over $ 1 billion per year) so they will NOT SELL THEM ON THE CHEAP to a Chinese government ENTITY
