RE:SU vs CVE

RE:SU vs CVE

Key thoughts

1) Trudeau is out.  New gov will try to be more Alberta friendly.  Even Atlantic Canada is aware that the Libs hav gone too far in slapping the hand that feeds them

2) The war risk premium - I don't think people realize how close we are to much bigger and longer conflics, and how valuable a stable, protected and reliable oil souce Alberta is.

3) CVE is likely to take a shot at another refinery.   Yes short term pain, but huge long term gain.  I think they are now capable of handling the additional complications of refining oil, and the synergies will cover the cost alone.  I think them saying they are not interested is just poker face not willing to over pay.  Don't think they are any other serious suitors.

4) SU doesn't have the upside potential that CVE does.

can u list some upsides of CVE from your research beside looking for more refining capacity? Do CVE has more SAGD projects on deck? Not trying being negative, a CVE shareholder here.
