Cenovus Management

They should be setting up this company as Canadas Premier Oil Producer

This company should be firing on all cylinders no hiccups 
and capitalize on the high oil prices.... Paying down debt and dividend increases

When i look at what they did in Q2 I am VERY skeptical they ever intend to get to 4b debt. They only paid down 265m in debt. Now they have 6.4b in net debt (end of Q2) so at this rate we are looking at 2.2 years to pay down to 4B. I guess prices are up in Q3 so that may speed things up. If they really wanted to pay down debt they would kill share buybacks. Both are return to shareholders. But the ...more

They really need a "show me" quarter that makes significant movement towards the 4 Billion debt target.  No excuses, No "We forgot about taxes" bs.    I am also doubtful that target will be reached before some kind of takeover of another company or some acquisition that will kick the debt target down the road.  They seem to always veer back toward drill ...more

100% agree, "No "We forgot about taxes" bs" was I think reason for Alex Pourbaix's departure. Also agree, purchase of Warrants was good as removes that overhang, no acquisitions, just show us the 100% of FCF money! CVE was longest position, now second after CPG.
