Should CVE exit china?

Exxonmobil just sign off iraq and hand over operatorship to petrochina.

Given the ongoing international tension, if china invade taiwan and western nations impose sanction against china, china could seize western assets, and we know how weak is this liberal gov't is. Frankly i think JT wouldn't care if china does that and leave CVE fend for themselves.

- it is a GOOD IDEA but it will NOT HAPPEN IN PRACTICE - IF CVE decides to SELL, ONLY the Chinese STATE PETROLEUM companies will be PERMITTED TO BUY the assets - SINCE there will be NO COMPETING OFFERS, the PRICE RECEIVED will be AT A DISCOUNT relative to an OPEN BIDDING PROCESS - Cenovus Energy makes GOOD MARGINS on these offshore natural gas production (over $ 1 billion per year) so they will ...more
