desiman..............u r rt in that bush is unpopular bcuz he is doing what he believes needs to be done. He was obviously impacted by 911 (as most of us were). There is a real threat from the mideast by the fanatics who wish to pervert Islam and commit atrocities in its name. Yet lets not forget that Christians were once there in the middle ages. The main thing is that the U.S. has always been "isolationist" in that it really does not like to get involved in world affairs and when it does it realizes that it is better off not being involved. What they have to remember is short term pain will lead to long term gain. But in our western cushy ways where immediate reward and satisfaction r the demand will we overcome the main issues facing us - two of which are the threat from the mideast and global warming. This board has been boring of late and this stuff is off topic so I apologize to those who may not give a crap. GLTA and watch out for the ray guns!!
