RE: Banks play russian rulettecant believe i am agreeing but i too believe this sell off and the subprime/abcp is all a conspiracy by big money - MM's and banks. There goal was for a massive sell off bcuz things got out of hand and became too costly. Thru subprime they came into massive real estate holdings and though they r writing them down today - TOMORROW they will one day be worth a fortune again. So now (TODAY) the wealth effect in the u.s. is over and fear has plagued the markets - if the sell off continues the last bastion of the wealth effect (the stock market) will tumble and you know who will make off like bandits - banks and MM's.
