For All Holding CWB, I hope This Goes ThroughNational's offer to buy at what is basically book vlaue is a very fair offer, and anyone holding the shares would have had to wait a very long time to see CWB share price hit +50 in the absence of the buyout. I really can't see any shareholder voting no, especially with both Boards recommending the sale. The Federal Govenment's reaction is a lot more uncertain, Natioanl having their head office in Montreal bodes well for this being approved, especially if the Fed see this as some sort of shafting the West at the same time. If Smith complains a lot, I think it helps the chances of this being approved, but it is really hard to preduict what that bunch of bandits in Ottawa are going to do on any given day.
