Good things come  to  those who wait and I've waited a long time for this. On the other hand, if I had bought National Bank years ago when I bought CWB, I would be further ahead than I will be even with this deal.

Hey Dad.  No you would not be ahead.  Fact check. You would only be up 25% versus year ago holding National.  Be accurate with the information.  Glad you have a big win here!

Fact check yourself.  I bought CWB over 10 years ago and in that time NA has quadrupled  when you account for the split whereas with this takeover I'm not even getting a double since my acb is about $30.  I know this because I've also held NA for a long time.

Yes, that would bite.  It is rare (for me) to hold a stock for more than 5 years only exception to that is Manulife.  CWB has made me alot of $$ buying on the corrections when the stock fluttered.  Always in when it drops to $20-24 share and flipped between $28-30 in order to make 30% gains.  This stock was really good that way.    Will need to search for another ...more
