RE:RE:Cannabinoid Investor Note for Feb. 25/19Trennam, great points as usual. It is still early days with these CSE stocks and staying on the sidelines so far has not cost investors all that much in terms of lost opportunity costs. I clearly have more Fear of Missing Out that most people and am willing to seed money into the US MSO market well ahead of the curve in an attempt to "catch the wave" when the US industry finally starts rolling.
As you know I made 20 times my money by being in early on the Canadian LP craze. I was in that with you and a few others when very few people had heard of Canopy Growth and Aurora really didn't exist yet. I'd be delighted to just double my money from here by being in early on the US industry. But I think more than a double is easily possible.
The top MSO's have market caps around $2 billion. Several of these companies and maybe all should easily be able to grow their market cap to $10 billion. Some people are saying that a trillion dollar market cap for all industry participants is possible within a few short years. Others are stating that $600 billion in industry market caps are possible. And right now the total industry market cap when you add up all the MSOs and other US market participants is probably not above $40 billion yet.
And for my investing style I need to be in early because when everyone else is losing their sh*t and bidding these things up into over valued territory that is when I feel most comfortable selling. So my FOMO is driven harder than most because I like to get out when a lot of people think the party is just starting and I think the party is almost over.
