RE:Let me introduce myself

RE:Let me introduce myselfSelect, I only disagree with the fictional part.  Wh a joke that the CEO and people on this board say the share price is because of the shorts. Shorts don't pick a stock that they think is going to go up.  Blaming the shorts is like Assman blaming Howard Schiller for valeant's problems.  Biz as usual though for the CEO and on his jet to somewhere sunny.

quote=select1011]This is a fictional short story only. Begin - Hi, I am the CEO of a major global company providing products to many people in over 100 countries. This is amazing because only years ago I never had much international experience at this level. But I am getting ahead of myself. One day, in my living room, I devised an idea from my work experience that I would copy other companies and form a company that would buy assets from other companies and build a plan for growth from there. Its called a roll-up strategy but that is probably too complicated for to understand. In any case, I managed to go public, borrow over 4B dollars, to buy some more companies. and today I am the founder, CEO and Chair of a global company. Its amazing. Today my company is valuated at over 1 billion dollars, which is only slightly less than the 4 billion I borrowed, but I will pay that off soon. Trust me. Its not all been an easy road. For example, you need to be ready to travel a lot and adjust your body to time zone changes. Also, you need to make sure you have enough cash in various denominations, when you travel because, gosh, exchange rates are always changing and you gotta make sure you have money in your pocket. It really affects your expense account claims. I think I may ought consider whether this affects my company's revenues too. Ah, for another day, and that is probably the role for the foreign chaps in the companies that I bought. In any case, another thing is, that you have to be ready to show up at one investor conference in six months. Choose the lowest profile one. Send your VPs to the other ones and make sure they talk about you in a positive light. Of course, there are the 4 times a year that you have to report your financial results. But you get to pick when you do this and all you have to do is make a short presentation, and see if people ask the right questions. Let them dig for information. Another thing is that sometimes your share price goes down. Mine is down by only 75% from its high. Trust me, don't worry about this. The only people selling are short sellers, because every one who invested in your company will keep holding their investment and believe in you. I don't know what I have to do to stop the tailspin because I never had to deal with this before, but getting out a news release blaming short sellers might help. Good thing is that my shares were awarded way way lower. A few last things. I got listed on the Nasdaq and my company is part of the IBB index. Yippee! I think that these are great accomplishments and are working for me. End.[/quote]
