as mentioned, i do not believe the US hort reporting; without the obligation to disclose details, it is easy to create a synthetique US short position.
it is too easy for the shorts to lie about the real net short position by isolating their domestic and foreign exchange trades, and it is exactly the type of distortion of informaton that they thrive on
