RE:Some issues supporting short thesis

RE:Some issues supporting short thesisConcordia's acid ratio needs to improve and that's not news. Neither is the standard operating procedure of shorting almost every biotech and pharma. They are easy manipulated company targets for lots of reasons, including and not limited to drug uncertainties, cash shortages, jittery investors and operating income delays. Hence offerings, panic sells, as well as loans/warrants feed well into their covering. The shorts are a tenacious bunch that often take years to dissipate, while borrowing more shares to dump into any news, good or bad.  The high carrying costs in my experience do not really deter them but consistent strong financials can do it.  I find it mildly encouraging that the trading patterns in the last week since brexit suggest some of them may be starting to cover. The most profitable way I have dealt with them is to expect the worse and always have dry powder for the short swings while always holding a block or two for long. I am always long  but I always trade to lower my average cost in strong companies that show temporary challenges. GLTA
