RE:Here is an example of who created the volume Friday

RE:Here is an example of who created the volume FridayThe only insider who has sold over the last few months is MT through the margin calls on his shares. There apparently was a sale of some 30,000 shares by an insider on Friday, but we still don't have confirmation by who exactly. That hardly constitutes consistent selling. As a long, I'm more concerned about lack of insider buying.

MegaBear wrote: cg16, this is really for you since you asked and it was a good question. The pumpers aren't interested in focussing on the stock and trading action, they are here to tell you to hold while they sell. And who's been selling? Insiders! Consistently.

Within each of the brokerage houses alone in Canada, here are the buys and sells.

You can see for example that CIBC alone generated near 2m shares volume of buying and 2m volume of selling for a net of only 45K net buys, tiny compared to total volume.

TD generated nearly 9M in buys and 9M in sells for a net sell of only 200K shares.

Anonymous, generated 8M buys and 8M in sells roughly with a small net sell. RBC generated 4.5M in buys and 4.5M in sells with a tiny 18K shares net sell.

So massive trading between traders.

The stats would be similar in the US. It's a massive pool of trading sharks and novices alike trying to ride the rising tides earlier in the day and falling tide in the afternoon.

Only a few people in the know really know what the end game is for sure.

The rest of us take various inputs, with filings, past management and investment banking actions and record, to pill in the puzzle.

At some point, some people with more market experience are able to know what the puzzle is while others still look at something half finished hoping to see a picture they want to see instead of trying to understand what the real picture is.
