Next Friday is option expiry day
6 days before the calls and puts expiry for Nov. Some of us with nov CXR and VRX options should be looking good going into next week.
Just thinking out loud. Some may be buying CXR at 55.00 tomorrow and VRX at 120.00. Wouldn't that be nice. Looking like we will get our 50.00 + close today.

CXR options expire tomorrow (Nov. 20); VXR options expire tomorrow (Canada and US) and next Friday (US only). -JT

so what is the effect of calls and puts expiries before and just after expiry? Any predictions?

Open Interest is almost non existent on CXR options expiring tomorrow so this shouldn't have too much impact. Since $48 and $50 calls have the biggest OI there is a chance price might deep below those numbers to wipe out premiums on these calls. In general, options are thinly traded in Canada so usual there is no big impact on expiration days.. Just my opinion ....;)
