TA analysis?

Hey guys, Im a new member.  I have been lurking for a while now and thought I would sign up to gain some insight and hopefully learn somethings along the way :)  Ive been trading this since $30.99 and have been trading the ups and downs since (mostly ups until the last 3days!). I have been watching the charts lately, (I'm no expert!) but is this showing a continuation wedge pattern? It closed over $47.30 on the day, (which is good imo) but if this goes down more on monday again it will confirm this pattern imo. I hope I'm wrong, but can it fight the trend?  Its at the very bottom of the trading range trend lines. Rbc is showing target price range of $18-$24 (Cdn!) if this pattern confirms! I really like the company, but are their fundamentals good enough to beat out the TA? A lot of weakness in this sector currently and Im starting to wonder if i should just start watching from the sidelines... Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, cheers

New user Money signed up today? "Rbc is showing target price range of $18-$24 (Cdn!)"?? I think you should sell your shares and go short if you haven't already. Me? I am staying long.

acording to rbc (my online broker) yesterday, under "technicals" the continuous wedge pattern popped up. along with a shooting star the day before. The shooting star signaled this downturn two days ago. On the daily chart you can see for yourself. I do not short btw. would rather just sell and buy back cheaper if anything. Already sold my calls at the top so my risk is reduced. To be ...more

'New" only to this board, not to the world. What difference does it make if I just signed up? Im trying to learn more about a new company i have recently invested in! I thought that was what this forum was for??

So, let me get this straight . . . you want an "honest technical opinion" as to whether their fundamentals are good enough to beat out the TA, . . . and whether or not you should just sit on the sidelines? Ok.  I honestly think that you should just sit on the sidelines for about six months, just to be sure.  Sit and watch.  Don't talk.  Don't type.   ...more

The 18-24 is based on a Recent Recognia‡ Identified Event; three days in the red would make any charting sofware trend to the negative. The Latest RBC Capital Markets Report though, written by actual analysts, says " November 13, 2015 Concordia Healthcare Corp. Outperform NASDAQ: CXRX; USD 28.54; TSX: CXR Price Target USD 77.00 Strong Q3 -Looking Forward to the AMCo ...more

Thank you!  Yes, it was under "recognia events". My confidence was shaken after the last 3 days and  seeing that pop up scared me a bit. lol. I would hope we get a bounce on monday and not the opposite. Thanks for the input.

i would hope not, I dont see it happening either, that why i asked.  $24 is a stretch imo nevermind $18 as that is extreme

price targets Concordia Healthcare (NASDAQ: CXRX)  10/22/2015 – Concordia Healthcare had its price target lowered by analysts at RBC Capital from $86.00 to $77.00. They now have an “outperform” rating on the stock.   And by the way... US$77.00 = CAN$102.88

Money10179. I'm here to save you.  Everyone new here gets treated like they are a dude named notwrong that's why I haven't signed up and just observe like you.  But I use RBC Direct Investing as well so I know what you are talking about.  If you click on the advanced research, it will give you RBC Dominion Securities analysis which was quoted here by a poster - that is ...more

I am gone now, just wanted to help Money out because I use RBC Direct Investing and their Technical charts are bad.  And yes, you guys are vicious.   Sunshine, by the way, I saw your post late in the day (I think it was at around $47.80).  I was going through the same thing at the time and wanted to tell you that if you 100% believe in Concordia, then a buck or two doesn't ...more

sunshine, that is what Im waiting for too.  has just been nerve racking lately, as u can imagine (if u own shares). Thought i caught the bottom ystdy at close lol. My game plan was just like everyone elses', buy the dips and sell the rips.  first time underwater with this stock so naturally im a little nervous. and for the record, yes, rbc direct is a horrible platform

Thanks for the intelligent post. ANd for the perspective. It makes perfect sense. I have been trying to reassure myself of those same facts but by the 3rd day down it makes you question everything lol. So Im just eager to see it play out. other than what  the chart "appears" to be saying, i was trying to find a reason for it to go that far down in price and couldnt find one. From ...more

Money, Yes even with the premium platform you can't get real time ca data.  But the US data s real time.  I don't know about the tmc powerstream charts.  I do not want to post any further on this board so I am unsubscibing with Stockhouse as fast as I have subscibed, as I know what is good for me.  GLTA.
Comment by Money10179 on Dec 04, 2015 10:21pm
chart. thanks, yeah i usually have freestockcharts on one screen for the cdn stocks that are dually listed so i can see them live in "real time". as far as ive found, tmx powerstream looks pretty good. and u can get live cdn feed, without the constant need to "refresh" like with rbc. sorry to drag this convo out as you are in a hurry to leave lol but thank you for the advice ...more
