Trading at discount

SP now under 5x 2016 EPS. Should there be a surprise to the upside on earnings guidance, it is even lower. How much of a discount does one have to see before the buyers return????

What happened when CXR released Q3 ?? Just a reminder, on that day, the stock popped to a high of 26% over the previous day's close and closed at 16% higher than the previous day's close --- up $6.09 in one day. So be careful trading out of your position as earnings day approaches. Especially since mgmt has only guided for $1.46 which is the same as the Q3 actuals which did not include ...more

Sorry correction, TD webbroker 7 analysts have estimated Q4 earnings for CXR at $1.46.

CEO Mark Thompson has guided EPS of $6.29-$6.77 for 2016. Divide that by 4 and you get $1.57-$1.69 per share. I don't understand why 7 analysts would underestimate EPS at $1.49 not giving any credit for AMCo purchase.

Q4 EPS will only include 2 months AMCO. Hence, expectations of less than 1/4 2016 guidance.

I'm told by my sources that the Q4 results include full 3 months. Even though the transaction closed on October 21st, all AMCo earnings began to be deposited into an escrow account for CXR on October 1st. Thus as stated in the publications the earn out clause payable to AMCo is calculated effective October 1st. "An earn-out payment of up to US$220 million may be payable to the sellers of ...more

What I am most interested in is an updated 2016 guidance. Likely with Q4 financials or investor day.
