NOT SHORTS

For this week.
 CXR                TSX                  IBB
-8.5%             +2.8%            +1.4%

For 2016.

 CXR                TSX                 IBB
-27.4%           -4.8%            -14.9%

Looking at these numbers, for the whole year, CXR
has been double beta of IBB.
For this week, I have no explanation.

I AM SORRY BUT....

Saying it is the shorts is a LAME excuse.
Tell me boys, why would the SHORTS come pick
on a stock that is 4.5 X this year earnings.
Isn't VRX an easier choice.

Shorts are smart people. They wouldn't pick on a stock
that is fundamentally great.
They only pick on stocks which have deteriorationg fundamentals
or are frauds.

I totally agree with you fdfd12 that shorts is a lame excuse. Almost 30% haircut less than a month - there must be something going on. I think CEO has failed in winning trust of institutions or may be there are better deals out there right now and people moving out of CXR fdfd12 would you please explain that what might be reason for this 30% haircut. Your posts are always helpful. Thanks

Fd- to answer your question, my broker told me yesterday after speeaking to his floor trader that there are currently just over 2.5M shares shorting CXR.  Secondly you ask why CXR? One of the biggest reasons is the small float. Subtract the company insiders, Cinven, institutional holders, funds and CXR becomes an easy target to manipulate with a few million shares in any direction.  They ...more

For CXRX on NASDAQ (latest published figures): Short Ratio (as of Dec 31, 2015)3: 6.99 699% is very high from what I understand.

Thanks stockcoach. So the answer is the stock appreciation happens when they want it to. Signal is likely short covering. Please keep us updated on any short activity change.

Short selling is the selling of a security that the seller does not own, or any sale that is completed by the delivery of a security borrowed by the seller. Short selling is a legitimate trading strategy. Typically, a short sale involves the sale of a security at the current price which is settled with shares lent to the short seller by a third party. The seller makes the short sale on the ...more

Correction that should have read ...just over 250K shorts

Isn't the 250K just for the TSE listing? CXR (TSE): Shares Short (as of Jan 18, 2016)3: 244.02K Short Ratio (as of Jan 18, 2016)3: 0.49 CXRX (NASDAQ): Shares Short (as of Dec 31, 2015)3: 1.58M Short Ratio (as of Dec 31, 2015)3:

Yes, he trades here in Canada and was probabily referring to the TSX. But from my paper notes I also have written 2.5M. So this could be current (Fridays) TSX & Nasdaq amount combined. Need to re-visit this. If that is the case, then that is around 5% of the total shares outstanding ...or volume of one full week. Keep in mind that 1/2 of all the shares don't trade and are being held. So ...more

Well something is definitely going on to explain a 30% drop in 2 weeks. On Monday NASDAQ will publish the short interest as of January 15.

250K of shorts is nothing. If 250K, then shorts are not an issue.

True FD- however that is only the tip of the iceberg as that number represents only canada. The big short is on Nasdaq.  I can't help but wonder where the shares would be today if they would of financed in Canada and accepted the the "bought deal"  that RBC offered around $100.  For one all the debt would have been in CAD and £ not USD, and the shorting  on ...more

Totally agree SC1, this was the biggest company's mistake yet, listing on Q and IBB. PLB ( Palabin) was Can. co. trading around $ 60 when Endo purchase it, It run to $ 140 CDN, listed only in Canada, Little calm required, I do know someone who has a lot more shares than myself, and he is telling me that there is nothing wrong with co., absolutely no need to be concern, so, for some of you that ...more
