We just got news that a private company,Arbor Pharmaceuticals, another specialty pharmaceutical, will acquire XenoPort.

KKR made a deal with Arbor back in 2014 to acquire a stake in the company to facilitate growth.


KKR owns  2,484,364 shares of CXR.

It's their 11th largest public investment currently.

This may not be a buyout scenario here, but a repeat of something done in the past. Basically, a financing deal of some sort. Perhaps a private equity financing ? We don't know yet. A full-scale buyout is also possible, and for the naysayers, any deal, of any sort, will take time. Something is in the works, no doubt, we'll just have to wait and see. And please, stop saying news are imminent and what's not, truth is nobody knows.

Of course no body knows if a buyout Will append soon. And no body knows if the buyout discussion begun 2 or 3 months ago. When kkr bought 2.01m shares. February, march?
