The additional $72M finder's fee to the 3rd party

Guys, read the disclosures last October and November.  It's detailed there using very fuzzy $72M fee to a specified [UNSPECIFIED] third party in the UK for some UK drugs. READ!

The company has not issued anything saying the finder's fee is not triggered. But they did disclose a closing of 4 UK drugs in May/June of this year.

So since the potential was disclosed last year and the drugs sales from the UK did happen early summer, one could argue the additional $72M finders fee was properly disclosed.

Wait for Q3 for the "SURPRISE". Just like the SURPRISE of Q2 when Concordia wrote off almost half of the Covis acquisition that was just over a year old!

Lumber, get your boss to issue a press release on the finder's fee ok?  It's not that expensive compared to the credible negativity and uncertainty the lack of official word provides. And no, we don't want to hear from you here as the company rep, it needs to be official, not via these clown bullboards!

Spoke to IR today who confirmed that there is no such finders fee payable. It is not related to anything the company purchased.

Its not BS at all - the company made this disclosure using very nebulous language about a 72 million sterling finders fee to undisclosed third party regarding 4 unspecified molecules / formulations.  It was great for shorts and conspiracy theorists.  The fact is the finders fee was NOT triggered.  Did Concordia bother to clarify this fact with further public disclosure - no   ...more

QUESTION:  Does anyone know, through a reputable website (not willing to take anyone's "word" here), whether there was insider buying in the last two days by anyone at the company?

Sorry, I guess I should have said last 3 days as the strategic review was over last Thursday

Nothing on SEDAR, nothing on the Nasdaq SEC filings and nothing on the TMX................ You get the drift..........

I think theres a better chance of seeing the stock driven down further to trigger more selling, than seeing the CEO buying..

cg,  But that doesn't make sense (not that anything does anymore on this stock).  If the share price goes down, and Thompson doesn't cover his margin wouldn't that be sending a loud message?   The shorts have been saying that he will get a third margin call, so if that happens, why would I expect him to buy back after the margin call instead of covering the margin sale ...more

I am trying to predict just like many but I think the fact that he had a loan in the first place means he has no money to buy.. if he was going to buy, he would've already. I hope for longs that Im wrong but, I'm very surprised that no buying has occurred yet. Not a good sign.. and shorts on board already eluded to another trigger (I asked what price it was at but they didn't answer ...more

Lat, actually I'm on sidelines not long. Feel bad for longs, but not one of them at this point. Waiting to see if there is an opportunity since its clear now that it isn't going bankrupt. I think the idea that the CEO set  margin triggers to preserve his own wealth is flawed.. why would he set them lower and lower rather than just set one higher up and take it off the table before it ...more

Has2, Either way, the triggers didn't preserve capital. Thats what doesn't make sense.
