Write down and taxesSo, by taking this write down now for to the first and second quarter of this year the fund will be able to offset capital gains from their dispositions which would have otherwise forced them to potentially pay a special distribution. This allows them to keep the cash in the fund as opposed to paying it out to the detriment of the metrics. I would argue that the write down does reflect reality today, but they are likely being as aggressive as they can be now, during the darkest time for Calgary to offset their taxable gains.
