If you are using a DRIP it usually takes a couple of days longer.

Most brokers and banks show the amount of dividends or distrinutions received early the following morning.
So if payment was on the 15th, the account will reflect that the following day. To the best of my recollection (and I am 70) it has always been that way with dividend distributions.
It is different for RRIF and direct deposit payments from the government as those usually show in the account the morning of the date payable.
