Article on IMAX bringing VR to the theater experience

Article on IMAX bringing VR to the theater experienceSo below is a link to an article on IMAX incorporating VR in some of their theaters.

This article explains how VR will be the next big thing for theaters. And guess who's involved with bringing VR to theaters as well? Yep....D-Box is!

The CEO was quoted last year that he was not interested in installing D-Box within IMAX screens....and I always thought he was actually bull-$hitting us and wasn't really against the idea. At that time, I figured, "well, IMAX isn't going to buy us out".

Now I'm more convinced than ever that IMAX and D-Box will be either merging, or partnering in this new initiative. Why? Because IMAX needs the motion that D-Box will provide. It adds a huge layer of immersiveness and will help alleviate motion sickness that people get when using VR headsets alone.

You watch - That IMAX CEO is gonna look stupid now because he's going to cut a deal with D-Box.
