RE:Friday's Cinemark and Cineplex bookings for Logan and KongGreat analysis as always Silentreader.....I too checked on sales yesterday and found sales to be very good for Kong - I thought Kong was actually going to be an overall bomb at the box office but it looks like it's not doing too bad at all!
Also, we have Logan still playing this weekend too, and that one has been overperforming. It's a good quarter for D-Box usage.....was slow in January, but then started to pick up. We got Beauty and the Beast coming up next, and that already is almost sold out for D-Box at Cineplex opening night and into Friday....I'm hoping for at least a $1.5M usage revenue this quarter.
The following quarter should be massive with usage as we have the next Fast and Furious sequel in the series comin up which obviously is a D-Box fan favourite....I myself will be at that movie using the seats. Maybe we can pull off a $2.5M in usage revenue next quarter? That would put us on track for a record year of maybe $8M in royalty. Not too shabby at all.
I may also check out Beauty and the Beast in D-Box just to see how they incorporate it in this film.
I remember the days when D-Box was only pulling in $400,000 in usage revenue per quarter....and now we are 5X that. That was only 3 years ago....not a bad growth rate!
Silentreader - I agree on ignoring these bashers in here......I'm always open for good debate on the struggles and successes that D-Box faces, but this guy made a mess of this board coming in here and put fear into everyone with false rumours.
We'll now all get back on track and ignore this loser in life.
