Dividend Growth Split Corp T.DGS

Alternate Symbol(s):  T.DGS.P.A | DDWWF

The Funds investment objectives are to provide holders of Preferred shares with fixed, cumulative, preferential, quarterly cash distributions and to return the original issue price of 10.00 per Preferred share to shareholders at maturity; and to provide holders of Class A shares with regular monthly cash distributions, targeted to be at least 0.10 per Class A share, and the opportunity for growth in Net Asset Value per Class A share. The Fund invests, on an approximately equally weighted basis, in a portfolio consisting primarily of equity securities of Canadian dividend growth companies. In addition, the Fund may hold up to 20% of the total assets of the portfolio in global dividend growth companies for diversification and improved return potential, at the Managers discretion.

NAV going forward

NAV going forwardDgs dropped significantly without warning and that of course was because the price of the funds holdings dropped quickly.  October 15th we. Will see the ten cents per share.  You ah e about a week and a few days before they usually announce the dividend, or lack there of for November.  The holdings are secure mega companies, so one should not expect them to all suddenly die like the dinosaurs.  Holding this on the down slide is a decision made depending on the number of shares you have.  If you have several hundred is one thing, but if you have thousands that is another.  Do you dump and live with an enormous loss, which is my case, or ride it out?  I will ride it out for it would be foolish of me to drop the net value of my pension funds by dumping DGS.  If you were lucky enough to be in a profit and dumped with a profit, you will likely put it back in for more cheaper shares.  If the dividend is not declared for November, which appears likely unless there is a surge, it will come back unless of course you believe the holdings 8n the fund are doomed.  My fingers are not crossed, they are in tangles.
