Dividend Growth Split Corp T.DGS

Alternate Symbol(s):  T.DGS.PR.A | DDWWF

The Funds investment objectives are to provide holders of Preferred shares with fixed, cumulative, preferential, quarterly cash distributions and to return the original issue price of 10.00 per Preferred share to shareholders at maturity; and to provide holders of Class A shares with regular monthly cash distributions, targeted to be at least 0.10 per Class A share, and the opportunity for growth in Net Asset Value per Class A share. The Fund invests, on an approximately equally weighted basis, in a portfolio consisting primarily of equity securities of Canadian dividend growth companies. In addition, the Fund may hold up to 20% of the total assets of the portfolio in global dividend growth companies for diversification and improved return potential, at the Managers discretion.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:DGS Announces DistributionWhatever the reason, glad they inked it yesterday as today markets are sinking again.

mouserman wrote: Went back and looked at 2021 announcements, and Brompton announced DGS distributions on DEC 22 ,  using the 17th as the day to make the calculations. SO it appears they do it early ahead of the xmas holidays, probably because tho who do the calculations dont want to be working during the 2 weeks going into Xmas and New years.
flamingogold wrote: Or... they didn't want to risk a potentially bad market day tomorrow sinking this going into the holidays? Making the cut for a distribution sends the s/p higher and looks good on the fund managers.

mouserman wrote: Wow , i thought they would use tomorrow as the day  to calculate distributions, but surprised that DGS made the cut. Guess that means LCS does NOT have a chance at getting distributions for December. Probably made the calculation earlier because of the holidays.
