Not sure about a boost but maybe.  Weak overall market and paper loss may hamper it.  Why did they write down the part of the Sutton investment? Did you see LYLT yesterday at 1pm drop 60% when the news leaked?  Disgusting it wasn't halted beforehand.  Shorters made a killing!

Great Call here! This is why every investor should use Tommy's thoughts to invest their life savings... Waiting for this 'imminent' new royalty too... you know the meaning of that word right?

Yes this could push Air Miles on new partners and drive back profits for DIV. Probably change the current sentiment versus the present Q4 results and look forward expectations for DIV

Right but, normal selling for Q4 results.  Volume isn't of any signification so far, 200K on 140M.People may have not seen latest news. Could represent an opportunity to add or buy.
Comment by JayBanks on Mar 10, 2023 9:45am
average volume is 270k so 200k in the first 15 is not significant?
Comment by Safetrader on Mar 10, 2023 10:55am
Right it is higher than normal. Nothing wrong, it happens all the time on a day where a stock releases results......When results are worse than expected it moves down. If you look at market drop, the financials are also getting hit but they aren't going bancrupt any time soon. This is a 4% drop on bad Q4 mainly because of Air Miles. Either you short buy or hold.... base on BMO move.

I'm not a Trudeau lover, but loudmouth O"Leary is the last person I'd listen to regarding his criticism of politicians. If he wants to be CEO of the country then why did he bow out early on during a campaign bid? He was also very vocal on BBD, a stock I own and currently doing very well on, and said it in typical dramatic fashion "going to zero". This is the same ...more

I do agree regarding O'Leary & politics. I think he wanted to run for the leadership of  PC party years back . I do agree with comments he made about Trudeau.  Definitely I don't agree on BBD. French subsidized government darling. Zillions of taxpayers wasted money. They should have gone bankrupt long time ago. My neighbour owned BBD in early years and before reverse split he ...more

maplak, your opinion is typical of the average Canadian so I don't blame you. We hear what we hear because Bell Media and the Thomson family owns "the message" and have a big hate on for the Bombardier/Beaudoin family. (Disclosure, I have no Quebec roots, I don't even speak French.) You should know BBD did not receive any bailout money during covid over and above special ...more

One more thing, ever wondered why billionaires own media companies?... Bezos - Washington Post Murdoch - Fox News Thomson - Bell Media Musk - Twitter Because they want control of "the message" they want to send to everyone on the street. So, whatever it is you believe, it might be because someone else has an agenda

Average Canadian? Flamingogold you are dead wrong and you are sounding like Tommy 123 in your opinions. If there is anyone who can compare and have an opinion on Canada it would be me not you. And yes BBD is subsidized Quebec garbage company which sucked and wasted millions of taxpayers money. Do you own home work. Dual shares company subsided by funds and governments. I lived in Czechoslovakia ...more
