AirMiles.???

The way l.understand it is....
BMO bought the company that ran the AirMiles rewards program and that company will make improvements and grow the program like adding Dollarama. 
DIV's subsiduary owns the  Canadian AM trademarks and licence agreements which are still in effect.  Meaning DIV should still report revenue from these AirMiles licences paid by the new BMO company running the program   Maybe somewhere down the road BMO will want to buy the Trademark and licences from DIV at a lump sum price get out of paying royalties.  But  before that happens, we should still see revenue from AirMiles in Q2 and onward. Hope l got this right!  GLTA.

Yes this is right.  There may be a dip in Air Miles earnings this quarter given the uncertainty surrounding the previous company running it (Loyalty Ventures out of the US), but given BMO is clearly getting behind the program with the Dollarama news it should at minimum stabilize if not grow in the future.   And yes agreed BMO may look to buy the trademarks outright from DIV at some ...more
