Black Diamond vs EnterpriseRock it is very interesting you picked Black Diamond as a comparison to Enterprise. Let’s do some very basic comparisons.
As at Dec 31, 2017 Black Diamond had a NBV of $228.1M and 55.043M shares outstanding or a book price of $4.14/sh., today's market price $3.83, so not to much of a spread. Now look at Enterprise, NBV $52M and 55.642M o/s shares for a book price $0.93/sh., currently trading at $0.46/sh.
This "discount “of MP vs BP has been ongoing for years. Typically, these discounts attract investors and the spread narrows. Why not for Enterprise?
Start with the inconsistent/careless communication on there website. They still list Calgary Tunnelling under the company overview section along with Hart Westar and Artictherm, TC Backhoe has been removed. They ramble on about executing their strong mandate to be western Canada's largest "specialized" equipment rentals and services organization. These are some very lofty and aggressive statements for a company that hasn't had an acquisition since 2014 and likely won’t exceed $25M in revenue for 2018. I get these points are minor compared to the financial results however, it gives he impression of a sloppy organization lacking effective leadership and direction.
Remember folks successful investing comes from your own DD!!!
