There is only one reason to pay for this kind of coverage- it is if you can present such a unique and compelling story- that other people will cover it. You are fishing for journalists, you are fishing for storytellers to retell your tale far and wide.
The issue is no one at the company has ever been able to tell the "story". It has always been stale facts and figures told in monotone...
