RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Baxter Reports Fourth-Quarter and Full-Year 2023 ResultsOpen heart surgery is where the real pot of gold is for PMX in my opinion.  Over 500K open heart surgeries are performed per year in the US, so roughly 4 times the market potential of PMX for septic shock.  There's something about rerouting a patients blood to the heart-lung bypass machine that contaminates the blood with endotoxin.  Yeah that add on study needs to start immediately after PMX is approved for septic shock and it shouldn't even take very long to complete the study considering how common open heart surgery is.
